Products: T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition ; T80 Racing Wheel

Game consoles: PS4™; PlayStation®5

This article can help you if you encounter difficulties with your T80 on PlayStation® (e.g., racing wheel not detected, steering wheel axis does not respond, mapping does not correspond to the game, etc.). It also offers to show you the difference between Gamepad mode and Racing Wheel Mode on PS4™ and PS5™.

Note:
Other articles you might find useful can be found at the bottom of the page.

The T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition is automatically supported by PS4™ and PlayStation®5.

T80 Racing Wheel switch must be in PS4 position to be supported by PS4™ and PlayStation®5.

1- Check that the light comes on.

The T80 has a red light (LED), located on the wheel, which lights up when you directly connect the racing wheel to a USB port on the console.
Important: The steering wheel must be directly connected to a USB port on the console. We recommend avoiding the use of USB HUBs, USB extension cables and any connection extensions.

This indicator informs when the T80 is powered on (so the T80 lights up) and it also indicates the mode that is active at the time the racing wheel is connected:
- Red LED flashes = Gamepad mode
- Red LED lights up without flashing = Racing Wheel Mode

2- Check and select the mode.

The T80 therefore has a mode that allows it to be recognized either as a controller (Gamepad Mode) or as a racing wheel (Racing Wheel Mode) by your console.
Depending on your game or console, it may be necessary to check that the mode corresponds to the desired use.

Detail:

- Gamepad mode: allows the T80 to be recognized by the console as a standard PS4™ compatible gamepad.
=> recommended only on PS4™

- Racing Wheel Mode: the T80 has greater sensitivity in racing games on PS4™ and PS5™.
=> applicable on PS4™ and recommended on PS5™

Note for PS4™:  On PS4™ Gamepad mode allows the T80 to be recognized as a standard controller and therefore to play several games. However, some racing games may require Racing Wheel Mode to be active. So, if the racing wheel axis is not working or malfunctioning in a game, try again by selecting Racing Wheel Mode.

Note for PlayStation®5: With the Gamepad mode activated, the PlayStation®5 may not recognize the T80, display it as an unsupported device, or if it recognizes it, the T80 may have unusual behavior in game or even inconsistent mapping. For PlayStation®5, you must therefore select Racing Wheel Mode.

To select Gamepad mode or Racing Wheel Mode:

- Unplug the T80 from the console
- Press and hold the PS button, located on the T80's wheel.
- Connect the steering wheel directly to the console's USB port by holding the PS button.
- Release the PS button.
- Press and hold the PS button again and log in to your profile.
- Once in your session, release the PS button.

Make sure the light matches the mode you want.
