How to make T80 work with the F1® (Formula 1) game on PC

This article may be useful to you if you want to play F1® on PC but the game does not recognize your T80, we offer you a solution that will allow you to enjoy your racing wheel with this game.

Important: the advice given in this article only concerns the F1® game.

1- Install the T80 driver.

If you have not already done so, install the latest T80 driver on your PC: Unified Drivers Package.
You will find this T80 driver on our technical support site, in the Drivers section:

2- Also install the Force Feedback Racing Wheel Driver

On PC, the F1® game recognizes racing wheels equipped with Force Feedback thanks to their driver. The T80 does not have force feedback, it has a belt (bungee cord).
However, the force feedback Thrustmaster racing wheel driver allows the T80 to be supported by this game.

So, install on your PC the driver PC - DRIVERS FORCE FEEDBACK that is available on our website on a Thrustmaster force feedback racing wheel page in the Drivers section:

Restart your PC to finalize the installation.


3- Select the mode that suits you.

The T80 can be recognized as a gamepad or a racing wheel.

The T80's red LED tells you which mode is active when you connect the T80 directly to a PC USB port:
- Red LED flashes = Gamepad mode
- Red LED lights up without flashing = Racing Wheel Mode

Detail:
- Gamepad mode: the T80 is recognized as a standard gamepad
- Racing Wheel Mode: the T80 benefits from greater sensitivity more suited to racing games.

To change the mode :
- Unplug the T80 from your PC
- Press and hold the PS button, located on the T80's wheel.
- Connect the racing wheel to the PC's USB port, with the PS button pressed.
- Release the PS button.

Important :
The selection of Gamepad mode or Racing Wheel Mode is saved in the T80's memory. To change the mode, you will therefore have to proceed as indicated above.


Now you can start a game of F1® with your T80 again!
