We recommend using the T80 in Racing Wheel Mode to play Sim Racing, Arcade Racing or Driving Simulation games. Otherwise, you may encounter malfunctions that are probably related to Gamepad Mode.
This article shows you how to check and change your T80 mode to play on PS5™, PS4™ or PC. It can be useful if your T80 does work properly in the game.

1- Explanations about Gamepad Mode
The T80 has a Gamepad Mode that lets it be recognized as a standard gamepad.
But Gamepad Mode may not work properly:
Examples on PS5™ and PS4™:
- Racing wheel not working in games.
- Wen launching a game you have a message that "games can't be played using the current controller".
- The cursor moves by itself in the menus.
- Buttons or pedals do not work, or the mapping is inconsistent.
- Large dead zone in the center of the steering wheel.
- etc….
Exemples on PC:
- Large dead zone in the center of the steering wheel.
- Pedals recognized as buttons or axes.
- Racing wheel not working in games.
- etc…
Solution: switch the T80 to Racing Wheel Mode.
2- Check that your T80 is in Racing Wheel Mode
Racing Wheel Mode lets the T80 work properly with compatible games.

The T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition is automatically supported by PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and PC
The T80 Racing Wheel’s sliding switch must be in PS4 position to be supported by PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 and PC.
Connect the T80 to the USB port on your PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 or PC:
On PS5™ and PS4™, press the PS button on the T80’s wheel to validate your session.
The LED on the steering wheel indicates the active mode when the racing wheel is connected:
- LED flashes = Gamepad mode
- LED lights up without flashing = Racing Wheel Mode
If the T80’s LED flashes, change the Mode.
3- Switch your T80 to Racing Wheel Mode
- Unplug to the T80 from the PC or game console.
- Press and hold down the PS button, located on the T80's wheel.
- Directly connect the racing wheel to the USB port on the PC or the game console while holding down the PS button.
- Release the PS button.
On PS5™ and PS4™, press the PS button again to validate your session.
The T80's LED must light up without flashing = you are in Racing Wheel Mode.
You are ready to play!
