Pedal set detection modes: pedals not reaching 100% or having and unusual behavior

Three pedal sets: T3PA Add-On ; T3PA Pro Add-On ; T-LCM Pedals ; T3PM

Two pedal sets: T2PA ; T2PM

Scalable pedal set: Raceline Pedals LTE ; Raceline Pedals III ; Raceline Pedals III LC ; Raceline LC Upgrade

This article reviews the pedal set detection modes on Thrustmaster Racing Wheel bases. Make sure that your racing wheel base pedal set mode matches the pedal set being used.

Otherwise, you may experience unusual behavior such as: pedals not reaching 100%, low quality signal, no signal at all.

Detection modes depending on the racing wheel base:

1. Direct Drive: T598

2. Direct Drive: T818

3. Force Feedback Racing Wheels: TMX; T150; T300; TX; T-GT; T-GT II; TS-XW; TS-PC

4. T128

5. T248, T248R

 

  Direct Drive: T598
Navigate through the menu and locate the pedal set mode. Then select the mode corresponding to your pedal set. 

Modes requiring connection to the RJ45 port:
- TRLP-LC: for Raceline Pedals III LC (Load Cell)

Modes requiring connection to the RJ12 port:
- TLRP: for Raceline Pedals LTE; Raceline Pedals III
- T3PA: for T3PA, T3PM, T2PA, T2PM
- T-LCM: for T-LCM Pedals

  Direct Drive: T818
Connect your T818 and power it on. The LED of button 13 (in the middle of the menu panel on the side of the base) should flash: 

Modes requiring connection to the RJ12 port:

- 1 or 2 flashes: standard mode for Raceline Pedals III LC (Load Cell), Raceline Pedals LTE, Raceline Pedals III, T3PA, T2PA, T3PM, T2PM

- 10 flashes: T-LCM Pedals mode

Important reminder: connecting a Raceline Pedals LC (Load Cell) to the RJ45 port of the T818 will result in no signal.

To change the mode, press button 13 and the left paddle shifter (downshift) simultaneously for 2 seconds, then release.

  Force Feedback Racing Wheels: TMX; T150; T300; TX; T-GT; T-GT II; TS-XW; TS-PC
Connect your wheel base and let it complete its startup calibration. The MODE button LED should flash: 

- 1 or 2 flashes: standard mode for Raceline Pedals III LC (Load Cell), Raceline Pedals LTE, Raceline Pedals III, T3PA, T2PA, T3PM, T2PM

- 10 flashes: T-LCM Pedals mode

To change the mode, press the MODE button and the left paddle shifter (downshift) simultaneously for 2 seconds, then release.

  T128
The LEDs use a 4-color code. 

Press the Settings button and the left paddle shifter (downshift) for 5 seconds:

- for a T2PM, Raceline Pedals III LC (Load Cell), Raceline Pedals LTE, Raceline Pedals III, T3PM, T3PA: the red LED lights up (default mode)

- for a T-LCM: the blue LED lights up (T-LCM mode)

  Note about the T248 and T248R
The T248 automatically detects the pedal set you connect; it does not feature a manual mode for pedal set type selection. If you change the pedal set, simply restart your wheel, or unplug and reconnect the power supply if necessary.
