T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC): what to do if my T98 is not recognized by the game or if the car is difficult to control – PS4 PS5

This article may help you if experience one of these situations:
- you were able to navigate to the PlayStation menu with your steering wheel to start your game, but the game does not recognize your T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC)
- you are playing but the car is difficult to control, the T98 steering wheel axis seems uncontrollable in the game
- etc...

These situations may be related to the compatibility mode selected on your T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) on PlayStation console. Each mode colour, blue or red, provides settings that ensure optimal gameplay in the games for which it is recommended on PlayStation consoles. However, the steering wheel may behave less accurately or less functionally if it is in a mode that is not recommended for the game.

So make sure you use your T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) with the mode that corresponds to your game. And do not hesitate to change (or change again) the mode according to our recommendations.


Default mode (Blue) :
On PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4 consoles, we recommend using T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) in its default mode: Blue Mode 
Blue Mode is recommended for most games on PlayStation consoles with the T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC).



Red Mode :
For better gameplay with Forza Horizon 5 (PS5 version) game on PlayStation®5 console, we recommend using T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) in Red Mode 
Forza Horizon 5 (PS5 version) is currently the only game for which we recommend Red Mode for T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC).



Advice for when you switch games:
If you are playing a game recommended for Blue Mode and then switch to a game recommended for Red Mode (e.g. Forza Horizon 5 PS5 version), or vice versa, remember to change the Mode colour.

To change mode colour on PlayStation console:
- Quit and close your game
- Press and hold MODE button, situated on the steering wheel
- Wait 5 seconds, the LED flashes, while holding down the MODE button
- Use the D-pad on the steering wheel to select the blue colour (or red colour only if recommended)
- Release MODE button
- Unplug the steering wheel from the USB port and then plug it back in to validate



You can restart your game.

The selected colour will be saved in the internal memory of the T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC).
