My Warthog joystick is always detected in “BOOT” mode and the Firmware update fails

Problem:

The joystick is always detected by the PC (and by the Firmware updater) in "BOOT" mode but the firmware update fails every time with this error message (Device should have arrived in HID):

Usually, the issue is caused by the female DIN being pushed in:

Regardless of whether or not the female DIN socket looks pushed in, if you are still getting the error message while updating the device's firmware, please contact our Technical Support.
