How to calibrate SimTask FarmStick

This article will help you calibrate the SimTask FarmStick. Calibration can help resolve drift or jitter in the FarmStick's mini-stick or Z-axis.

To perform calibration, simply connect the SimTask FarmStick to a USB port on a PC (for all three versions), or on an Xbox console for the SimTask FarmStick (Xbox), or on a PlayStation console for the SimTask FarmStick (PlayStation). The calibration will be saved in the SimTask FarmStick.

Preparation for calibration

1- Connect the SimTask FarmStick to the USB port on a PC or a game console

2- Simultaneously press and hold buttons 5 and 7

- Wait at least 5 seconds, the LED will flash slowly

3- Release buttons 5 and 7

Calibration step 1

4- Make sure the axes are in position

- The stick must be in its resting position. It must remain straight and centered without being touched.

- The stick's Z-axis (rotation axis) must be centered.

- The mini-stick must be in its central position.

5- Do not touch the axes so that they remain in position

6- Press and release button 15

- The LED flashes faster

Calibration step 2

7- Calibrate the stick

Move the stick to its maximum value at all four poles, without forcing. It must reach the stop each time.

- Push the stick to its maximum value; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

- Pull the stick to its maximum value; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

- Move the stick to its maximum value to the left; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

- Move the stick to its maximum value to the right; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

8- Rotate the handle on the Z-axis

- Rotate the handle counterclockwise to the stop and return it to the center.

- Rotate the handle clockwise to the stop and return it to the center.

9- Calibrate the mini-stick

Move the mini-stick to its maximum value at all four poles, without forcing. It must reach the stop each time.

- Move the mini-stick to its maximum value upwards; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

- Move the mini-stick to its maximum value downwards; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

- Move the mini-stick to its maximum value to the left; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

- Move the mini-stick to its maximum value to the right; it must reach the stop, then return to the center.

10- Press and release button 15

- Calibration is saved

- The LED remains on without flashing

Calibration is complete.
