This article shows the steps to follow to have your T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) to work on a PlayStation® console.

1- Connection to PlayStation console

Connect your T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) to a USB port on your PlayStation console, wait and then press the PS button  located on the steering wheel so that the console detects the steering wheel.
- We recommend avoiding the use of USB HUBs, USB extensions and any other connection extensions.

 

2- Playstation and game compatibility modes

On a PlayStation console, the LED situated on the steering wheel above the PS button of the T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) must light up blue  by default or red  if applicable.

To help you, here's a summary of the mode colours, their uses and how to change them.

Blue : Default compatibility mode for using T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) on PlayStation consoles. The steering wheel is recognized as a T80. This mode is highly recommended for most PS4 and PS5 games for better gameplay.



Red : This mode applies on PlayStation consoles. T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) is recognized as a T150. Red mode is currently recommended only for Forza Horizon 5 (PS5 version) game for better gameplay.



Compatibility: To find out which mode is recommended (Blue or Red) on PlayStation console, please consult the T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC) Games Settings list

Important: If you play a game recommended for Blue Mode (most PlayStation games) and then switch to a game recommended for Red Mode (e.g. Forza Horizon 5 (PS5 version)), and vice versa, remember to change the mode color.

Green : Colour mode only applicable for PC gaming.

To change mode colour on PlayStation console:
- Quit and close your game
- Press and hold MODE button, situated on the steering wheel
- Wait 5 seconds, the LED flashes, while holding down the MODE button
- Use the D-pad on the steering wheel to select the blue colour (or red colour only if recommended)
- Release MODE button
- Unplug the steering wheel from the USB port and then plug it back in to validate



You can restart your game.

The selected colour will be saved in the internal memory of the T98 Ferrari 296 GTB (PS4/PS5/PC).

 

3- Driving profiles

The T98 features three driving profiles that let you change the steering wheel rotation angle to suit your driving skill level.
The driving profile can be manually changed using the red, yellow and green coloured selector.



Red  (beginner): Provides great stability in vehicle control with little drift effect.
Yellow  (intermediate): The steering wheel rotation angle is amplified, implying more sensitivity on the vehicle.
Green  (SimRacer): Amplifies drift effects and therefore requires greater control of your driving movements.
